What does Katharine House
Hospice do?
Katharine House Hospice helps patients and their family and friends live their
lives as fully as possible by providing a range of services that meet individual
physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
Who does the Hospice care for?
The Hospice provides care for people aged 18 and over who live in Stafford and
the surrounding areas, (including Cannock, Newport, Stone and Uttoxeter) who
have illnesses that are progressive and no longer curable.
What care is available?
A range of care and support is provided on the In Patient Unit, in Day Care, by
calling in on Drop-in Day, or even a patients own home. Patients and theis
families can access a Lymphoedema Clinic, a Support Group for Carers, symptom
control, bereavement support, complementary therapies, diversional theropies,
spiritual care, counselling, respite care, pain relief, and terminal care.
How much does it cost to
access these care services?
All care is provided free of charge.
Katharine House Hospice relies Heavily on Voluntary Donations to raise £1.5 million needed each year.
